Blue Bronna Wilderness Camp

It has been a little while since we updated you on what we are doing and I feel like I have a lot to say. These past five days we have had the privilege to serve God alongside the staff at Blue Bronna which is a beautiful camp located south of Calgary. And when I say beautiful I truly mean it. We got in late the first night making it even more of an amazing experience to walk out of the cabin in the morning and see the gorgeous creation God made. I can’t even describe it so you all should go and experience it yourself, I am sure that they would love to have you.

These past five days have been such an encouragement seeing how God can use us when we are willing to serve. Going in we had fear but God showed us how we need to trust Him and that he has a purpose for taking us the places that we go. Not only did we get to do new things but we had a lot of fun doing them. Kendra developed her cooking skills and made wonderful food for us all weekend, Andrew was the games man keeping the kids moving and having fun and Kimmie and I were the random helpers filling in where needed.

The camp that we participated in was retreat for the grade seven class from Prairie Christian Academy. They are a group of young and spirited kids that were a holler to hang out with and to get to know. We had a lot of fun going on hikes up Cougar Mountain, riding the horses, singing songs and playing games. During the weekend God was active in moving in the hearts of the students. At our last fireside the floor was open for the students to share what God has been teaching them and it blew my mind to see that they are taking hold of his love and discovering truth. Along with their caring teacher’s we were able to praise God for such progress. I ask that you would join us in praying for these young people to continue to grow and seek God.

It’s crazy how in just a few days one can become so attached to a place. Surely Blue Bronna has a place in our hearts! We will miss the staff (It was good to see you Tina!) the kids, and even the mountains. We all felt so welcomed and love! Thanks Blue Bronna.
